It seems ECP not conducting scrutiny of political parties audit accounts: IHC

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has said that it seems that the Election Commision of Pakistan (ECP) is not conducting scrutiny of political parties' audit accounts.

A bench headed by IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah heard the intracourt appeal against the PTI foreign funding on Tuesday. “If the accounts of any political party were objectionable, then answers should have been asked only from that party,” it added.

The court observed that this is a very sensitive matter. “Not any political party will be spared in this way,” it concluded.
