LAHORE (92 News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that the presence of Jahangir Tareen in an official meeting is a contempt of court. Talking to the media on Monday, he said that Jahangir Tareen is a capable man. “I request him (Tareen) to decide on the issue that when he sits in an official meeting Marriyum Aurangzeb gets an opportunity to speak against the government,” he opined. Shah Mahmood Qureshi asked Jahangir Tareen to advise the party from some distance. “It’s not our viewpoint to touch the 18th Amendment,” he said. Earlier addressing a ceremony, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the National Action Plan (NAP) on terrorism is being implemented to make country abode of peace and stability. He said that Pakistan has registered unparallel successes in the war on terror. The foreign minister said that Pakistan is a peace-loving nation but warned India not to challenge the resolve and determination of its youth. “The youth of the country is laced with patriotism and has the potential to take forward the country on the path of development.” Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the country also gave a clear message to the world through its response to the Indian aggression that this is not an old but new Pakistan. Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi called on Punjab Governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar on the success of the PTI candidate in the by-election. He said that eight percent voters had rejected the PML-N and the PPP. “Children of former premier Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani are about to make a new decision,” he said.
