KARACHI (92 News) - Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani said that the Jamaat-e-Islami had obtained more seats than their expectation.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, he said that the JI is accusing the Sindh government of rigging despite winning seats. "The Jamaat-e-Islami is staging the protest where it has a majority," he maintained.

He said that the government requests the JI to hold recount where it has objection and move ahead. "It is better for the city that both parties should jointly work," he added.

Saeed Ghani asked the Jamaat-e-Islami to accept the victory of the PPP. "This city has given mandate to the PPP as well as the Jamaat-e-Islami. It will be premature to say who will be the mayor of the city," he added.
