LAHORE (92 News) - The Jamaat-e-Islami on Thursday rejected the election results and gave a call to lodge protest on Friday.

Addressing a press conference in Mansurah, JI naib ameer Liaquat Baloch accused the ECP of changing the election results. He said that the controversial and fake results are a stigma on the parliamentary system.

"The people who got the victory through coercion, compulsion and engineering are being insulted. The winners as well as the losers are worried," he maintained.

Liaquat Baloch said that political parties will have to make a long-term strategy for the conduct of impartial elections.

"The international forces blackmail the parties involved in robbing the people of their mandate. These elections are rigged and the results are fake. The government formed as a result of these elections is also controversial," he declared.

He criticized the caretaker government and called for restructuring of its design.
