Jamaat-e-Islami rejects federal budget, announces countrywide protest
LAHORE (92 News) - The Jamaat-e-Islami on Saturday rejected the federal budget, announcing a countrywide protest.
Addressing a press conference, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that a countrywide protest will be lodged against the anti-people budget, worst loadshedding and heavy bills.
“The people are receiving bombs, not electricity bills. Corruption and plunder is going on unchecked,” he added
The JI ameer said that no one is questioning the people who do not pay taxes. “Doctors, engineers and IT specialists are leaving the country due to imposition of heavy taxes. The people at helm for the last 77 years could not give the people education and health,” he added.
