Japan to provide Rs1.6 billion to replace weather surveillance radar in Karachi

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Japan will replace the weather surveillance radar in Karachi with a grant of 1.6 billion rupees. Signing ceremony to this effect was held in Islamabad today at which Japanese Ambassador Hiroshi Inomata exchanged the notes with Secretary of Economic Affairs Division Muhammad Saleem Sethi. The new radar will have a 450-kilometer radius of information processing for consumption of Pakistan Meteorological Department.
