KARACHI (92 News) – Former cricketer Javed Miandad has criticized Prime Minister Imran Khan for proposing a change in the domestic cricket structure. Addressing a press conference along with Jahangir Khan, Islahuddin and Saleem Jaffar at Karachi Press Club on Saturday, he said that today players were starving. “Will they (players) not commit thefts and dacoities? Imran Khan himself had played the country cricket.” he questioned. The former legend said that the sports department had been given to non-professional people. “We will not let anyone exploit the players,” he declared. Javed Miandad said that politicians have to make decisions after deliberations. “You are demanding money from everywhere, but no one is giving you,” he said. He said that the biggest problem facing Pakistan was the country’s economy. “People want jobs and no one wants to play cricket or hockey. Their helplessness is being taken advantage of.”
