Pak-China JCC reviews progress on various projects under CPEC

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – A meeting of Pakistan-China Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) of CPEC was held in Beijing on Thursday. Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal is leading the Pakistan delegation while Chinese side is led by Vice Chairman of National Development and Reforms. Pakistan’s delegation includes Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak, Federal Minister for Railways Khwaja Saad Rafiq and Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi. During the meeting, three major projects of Sindh province including Karachi Circular Railway project have been incorporated in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The establishment of an Industrial zone near Dhabeji and developing Keti Bandar Project for coal transportation will also be included in the CPEC and the Sindh government will present the feasibility report of these projects. The meeting further decided to build industrial zones in all four provinces. The meeting also reviewed progress on various projects being carried out under the CPEC.
