LAHORE (92 News) - Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman on Thursday gave a four-day deadline to the Punjab government, saying that they will stage a sit-in outside CM House if the purchase of wheat was not started within four days.
Talking to the media at Mansoorah, he said that the Punjab government should immediately withdraw the decision to purchase wheat. "We will not remain silent over the issue of farmers," he added.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that no institution was safe from the deteriorating economic condition in Pakistan. "Big industrialists are shifting their capital abroad. All countries give subsidy on eatables," he maintained.
He said that the people who imported wheat worth US$1 billion should be exposed and a judicial inquiry should be conducted into the matter.
