LAHORE (92 News) – Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq on Sunday inaugurated the isolation ward at Mansora Hospital. Addressing a press conference at Mansora Teaching Hospital, the JI chief said that the management of the Mansora Hospital has established six quarantine wards which can accommodate 160 patients. He also maintained that throughout the country, the JI and Khidmat Foundation presented 300 ambulances to all the government hospitals for fighting against the coronavirus. “According to government statistics, the resources for the population are scarce. Sirajul Haq also saluted all the doctors and paramedical staff on national service. “I salute Chinese doctors and medical staff who have won the war against coronavirus with courage instead of losing. There is no space of mistake for public or individual in the country.” Not oppose lockdown Sirajul Haq has said that his party does not oppose lockdown as it is need of the hour, but government should provide food for 15 days to masses. The JI chief said that government should help Pakistani nationals who are stranded abroad. He also asked government to waive utility bills of those who earn less than Rs25000. He urged landlords to waive a month’s rent of the tenants on humanitarian grounds.
