JI to stage countrywide protest against increase in POL products prices on Friday

LAHORE (92 News) - The Jamaat-e-Islami announced that a countrywide protest will be staged against the increase in the prices of the POL products on Friday.

In a statement on Wednesday, Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Sirajul Haq said that the caretaker government had endorsed the cruel acts of the previous governments.

"It is injustice with the poor masses to increase the petrol price by Rs20 per litre. "The rulers are sucking the blood of the people on the orders of the IMF. The caretaker government should provide a relief to the masses and the nation should rise against cruelty," he demanded.

He urged the JI workers to become part of the peaceful protest.
