JI to stage protest against worst loadshedding in Karachi today

KARACHI (92 News) – The Jamaat-e-Islami will stage a protest against the worst loadshedding from Friday. Addressing a press conference on Thursday, he said that protest demonstrations would be staged at 100 places in Karachi. He said that they would stage a sit-in against K-Electric on Shahra-e-Faisal on Saturday. The JI city ameer said that K-Electric had made people’s life a hell. “The power company has failed to provide electricity to 2.6 million consumers. It should be nationalize after cancelling its licence,” he said. He said that it is regrettable to approve the tariffs of K-Electric despite its worst performance.
