JIT briefs Shahzad Akbar, alleges PPP leader Saeed Ghani

KARACHI (92 News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Saeed Ghani alleged that the joint investigation team (JIT) briefed Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Accountability Shahzad Akbar. Saeed Ghani leveled serious allegations on the special assistant to the prime minister on accountability. The PPP leader alleged that the JIT people briefed to the some people and many actions have being taken on the signals of Shehzad Akbar. He claimed that the he has got some information about the meetings of Shahzad Akbar with FIA form his sources. In his tweet, Saeed Ghani asked, “May God keep your mother in good health but the question is can u deny the meetings with @FIA_Pakistan & others”? apart from @AzazSyed other source also confirmed your meetings. I know u r not in a position to confirm this fact.”

Responding to the allegations of the PPP leader, the PM special assistant categorically denied the meeting with FIA especially on December 19. “Thanks @SaeedGhani1 n out of respect for you, I categorically deny meeting JIT n specifically on 19 December, FIA n it’s DG (additionally NAB, FBR & FMU/SBP) interacts with me n my office on daily basis for our work under Assets Recovery Unit,” Shahzad Akbar tweeted.
