JIT formed to probe into Bedian Road tragedy

LAHORE (92 News) – The Punjab government on Saturday formed a joint investigation team (JIT) to probe into the Bedian Road tragedy.

SSP Muhammad Iqbal will head the JIT while one each representative of the Counter Terrorism Department, CIA and IB will be its members.

At least six people died and 18 were injured in a suicide blast on Bedian Road.

The targeted van was carrying a census team. Around 20-25 kg explosive material was used in the bomb.
