JIT investigates Saulat Mirza at Machh Jail

QUETTA– Joint investigation team (JIT) on Wednesday investigated Saulat Mirza, an Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) worker on death row in Machh Jail. The team was led by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Dr Ameer Sheikh and included Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Special Branch, SSP Crime Investigation Department (CID) and officials from intelligence agencies. The JIT asked several questions from Saulat Mirza and also recorded his statement. Security was tightened inside and outside the jail during JIT’s visit.
