JIT to submit report in SC on Wednesday

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed to investigate into the Panama leaks against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family members will submit its second report in the Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday.

The JIT prepared the report after examining the evidence produced by the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s sons Hussain Nawaz, Hassan Nawaz, his cousin Tariq Shafi, State Bank of Pakistan President Saeed Ahmed, PM’s close friend Javed Kayani and others to submit before the three-member special bench of Supreme Court.

A special bench of the apex court headed by Justice Ijaz Afzal will resume hearing to review the report of the JIT.

Earlier, the JIT had submitted its first report in the Supreme Court (SC) on May 22. The apex court had expressed full confidence in the team.
