Journalist shot dead near Lahore Press Club

LAHORE (92 News) – A local journalist was shot dead by unknown people near Lahore Press Club on Monday.

Hasnain Shah, who worked with a private TV channel, was on his way to office when two bikers opened fire on him. He died on the spot.

After getting information, a heavy contingent of police led by the SSP Operations reached the spot and shifted the body to morgue for autopsy. IGP Punjab Rao Sardar has ordered the police to trace the attackers with the help of CCTV footages.

Punjab Government Spokesperson Hassan Khawar said that the killers would be arrested soon. "The responsible people will be brought to justice," he added.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has taken notice of the incident and ordered immediate arrest of the accused.
