Journalists boycott press conference over Faisal Vawda’s ‘bitter words’

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Journalists on Wednesday boycotted a press conference of Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda for exchanging ‘bitter words’ with a senior journalist. Addressing to the press conference, the minister said, “I am not somebody's father’s servant that I submit a reply on a day’s notice. We will not inaugurate the one project as ten times.” “We will not come under any pressure and are only focusing on our work,” he added. Faisal Vawda irked at a question of a senior journalist about Mohmand Dam bid won by the joint venture of Descon owned by Adviser to PM on Commerce, Textile, Industry and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood. Replying to the question of senior journalists, the minister exchanged bitter words with the journalist. “I am only answering the question because you are my elder. These views he expressed while talking to Governor Sindh Imran Ismail at Karachi Airport, before leaving to Islamabad, to meet the Prime minister. He claimed that he was foreseeing a forward bloc in PPP. “As many as 20 to 26 members of PPP may form a forward bloc in Sindh”, Vawda continued, adding that if Sindh government survived, the name of new provincial CM would also be “Shah”.
