Video scandal: SC orders to repatriate Judge Arshad Malik to LHC

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered to send Accountability Court former judge Arshad Malik to the Lahore High Court immediately.
Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa remarked that Judge Arshad’s video in Multan had been confirmed. “Why has the federal government stopped Judge Arshad Malik in the capital? Hundreds of honest judges are ashamed of the character of this judge,” he remarked.

Expressing indignation at the FIA, Justice Azmat Saeed said that the FIA did not get the forensic done of the video yet about whom the entire country is questioning. “If Nasir Butt’s record and original video is unavailable, the FIA should have done the forensic of the cam video,” he remarked.
The attorney general assured the court that the judge would be repatriated to his respective court.
The attorney general also told the court that Maryam Nawaz, Shehbaz Sharif and other PML-N leaders have dissociated themselves from the video. “Nasir Butt filmed the video at the residence of Arshad Malik and the video recording accused Nasir Butt and Saleem Raza have fled abroad,” he said.
Earlier, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) submitted a report on the video scandal of Judge Arshad Malik in Supreme Court.
The report prepared by the FIA was submitted by the attorney general in the apex court during the hearing of alleged video scandal.
The inquiry team also interrogated Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif and PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz.
The sources said that Shehbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz have held Nasir Butt responsible for the video leakage, saying that they had no role in it.
The sources also revealed that Attaullah Tarar and two PML-N leaders have also held Maryam Nawaz responsible for the video scandal. “We did not know what had to be told during the press conference. We neither watched the video nor had knowledge about it. Maryam Nawaz and her team had brought the content,” they disclosed.
The sources said that the FIA had also obtained the real video blackmailing the judge. “The real video had been used for blackmailing by dividing the video in many parts,” he said.
