Judge starts writing verdict in references against Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Accountability Court Judge Arshad Malik has started writing the verdict in the Al-Azizia and Flagship references against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. The judge, while hearing the plea of Nawaz Sharif’s counsels to announce the verdict on December 26, remarked that he will try his best to announce the verdict on December 24. “I will change the verdict date, if I could not write it,” he said. Despite the holiday after Friday prayers, the judge remained in Judicial Complex and perused the documents. He also directed the staff to remain in court late night as well their ensure presence on Saturday and Sunday. The reserved verdict in the Al-Azizia and Flagship references will be announced on December 24. The Islamabad deputy commissioner briefed the judge about security arrangements. Meanwhile, the decision has been made to enhance security at the residence of Accountability Court Judge Arshad Malik.
