Judicial Commission approves appointment of two former judges as SC ad hoc judges for one year

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa presided over a meeting of the Judicial Commission held to appoint ad hoc judges of the Supreme Court on Friday.

The commission approved the appointment of Justice (retd) Sardar Tariq Masood and Justice (retd) Mazhar Alam Miankhel as ad hoc judges for one year.

Justice Munib Akhtar opposed the names of both judges for the appointment. Meanwhile, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Yahya Afridi opposed the appointment of Justice (retd) Mazhar Alam.

Former judges Mashir Alam and Maqbool Baqar have already refused to become ad hoc judges.
