Judicial Commission recommends appointment of three judges to SC

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Judicial Commission chaired by Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial recommended the appointment of three judges, including IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah, to the Supreme Court on Monday.

The other two recommended judges are Justice Shahid Waheed and Justice Hassan Azhar Rizvi. However, the name of Justice Shafi Siddiqui was delayed after the council failed to reach the consensus.

The Judicial Commission has sent the recommendations to the parliamentary committee for approval.

Supreme Court Senior Judges Justice Qazi Faez Isa, Justice Sardar Tariq, Justice Ejazul Ahsan, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice (retd) Sarmad Jalal Usmani, Pakistan Bar Council representative Akhtar Hussain advocate, Attorney General Ashtar Ausaf and Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar attended the meeting.
