ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk has said that the Judicial Commission will try its best to complete the probe by the end of next week. Meanwhile, the commission has summoned all parties on Monday. Earlier during the Judicial Commission meeting, the Election Commission witnesses were cross-examined. ECP former secretary Khaliquz Zaman said that list of the number of April 20 ballot papers was prepared on the basis of registered voters. “The lists of April 21 ballot papers were prepared on the demand of ROs,” he said. To Salman Akram Raja’s request to summon the ROs with regard to distribution of ballot papers at polling stations, the chief justice said: “It depends on you.” Khaliqur Rahman told the commission that the April 20 lists were not sent for printing due to errors. “The printing process at printing presses was monitored on daily basis.” The Sargodha EC regional manager said that representatives of ROs received ballot papers in his presence. The Printing Corporation of Pakistan deputy director said that 2.5 percent more ballot papers were published as compared to the demand of the Election Commission. He said that used ballot papers were disposed of under the supervision of the Army. The decision on summoning the witnesses could not be made due to absence of Q-League counsel Khalid Ranjha. The hearing was adjourned till Monday.
