Judicial Inquiry Commission terms Osama Satti's murder target-killing

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Judicial Inquiry Commission has termed the murder of Osama Satti target-killing.

According to a report by the Judicial Inquiry Commission, the SP I-9 had appointed the ATS officials in his circle. The officials had chased the vehicle after a dacoity call. 

The report recommended that the case be tried under the Anti-Terrorism Act. It stated that peaceful citizens of Islamabad were terrorized though the incident 

Four bullets were fired between the distance from University to Highway. 

The report says CIA SP Malik Naeem did not proceed on the wireless call. "The police officers were involved in the incident and responsible people exceeded their powers and openly used their weapons. After the incident, the duty officers remained busy in saving the responsible," it added. 

It proposed to remove the SP ATS, SP Investigations, SI 9, Ramana DSP, Karachi Company SHO, Duty Officer Ramana and others for fair investigations into the matter. The report also recommended a campaign to get confidence of the people. 

Meanwhile, family of Osama Satti called on Prime Minister Imran Khan who assured them of complete cooperation with regard to investigations.

Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed also phoned the father of Osama Satti.
