Judiciary is independent, affidavit based on a lie: Farogh Naseem

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Law Minister Farogh Naseem has said that the judiciary is independent and the affidavit is based on a lie.

Talking to the media outside the parliament on Tuesday, he said that the judges are doing the best job. "What was the need for waiting for two-three years if the affidavit was truth?" he questioned.

The minister said that there are several contradictory things with regard to the affidavit. "The government will always work as per the constitution and the law," he maintained.

He said that the will of the Election Commission of Pakistan should be involved in the electoral reforms.

About the case in the IHC, the minister said that the attorney general had briefed the prime minister about the case. "The government thinks that it is an attempt to affect the case being tried in the IHC," he maintained.
