ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Former member of provincial assembly (MPA) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F’s (JUI-F) leader Mufti Kifayatullah was arrested from Islamabad on Sunday. Deputy Secretary Information JUI-F Aslam Ghouri confirmed the arrest of said Mufti Kifayatullah. He stated that Mufti Kifayatullah was taken into custody from Islamabad’s Sector E-11 last night. The family also confirmed the report and said that he was detained in the Haripur jail. The jail sources also confirmed the arrest of JUI-F leader. It was also reported that he was arrested for issuing inflammatory statements against the national institutions. Mufti Kifayatullah was arrested under 3-MPO by Mansehra police. He was third leader of the JUI-F to have been detained from Islamabad in the past few days ahead of Azadi March. Earlier a few days, two leaders of JUI-F were arrested from Islamabad and a case was lodged against them by the police. Police arrested Maulana Shafiqur Rehman and Maulana Muhammad Irshad from Shams Colony and seized banners for the JUI-F sit-in from their possession.
