ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has started implementing the Plan B, closing Quetta-Chaman Highway and other roads in Jacobabad. Transport engaged in the Pak-Afghan Transit Trade also came to a standstill due to the closure of Quetta-Chaman Road. The police have taken positions at the entry and exit points and several important roads in Jhelum. On the other hand, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman is likely to end the ongoing sit-in. The JUI-F finalized the Plan B, deciding to close all main roads across the country while continuing the sit-in from Wednesday. The plan was finalized during a meeting presided over by JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Tuesday. All the provincial party ameers briefed Maulana Fazlur Rehman about the preparations for the Plan B. The JUI-F will place Rawalpindi and Islamabad on lockdown. JUI-F secretary general Maulana Rashid Soomro said that they will have to end the wait. “The Plan B is the plan to move ahead, not to retreat. We will not go towards the extreme. However, we cannot desist from the resignation,” he said. Meanwhile, National Party leader Mir Hasil Bizanjo called on Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence. They also discussed different matters, including the Azadi March and closure of all main roads. Earlier addressing the participants of Azadi March on Monday, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that their struggle will continue for toppling the ‘illegal’ government. He announced that the Azadi March participants will fight a battle against the government in each city after leaving the federal capital. He said that the toppling of the ‘filthy’ government is the demand of their faith. “The nation will get rid of the illegal and imposed forces,” he said. The JUI-F chief said that the country was created in the name of Islam. “Everyone should work within its jurisdiction. We want to establish friendship with the US, but refuse their slavery,” he said. He opined that today the country’s budget is being prepared by the IMF. “Today foreign investment has ended. No one is ready to trust the government. Our mountains are full of wealth. Our forests and deserts have wealth,” he added.
