JUI-F’s Azadi March set to leave for Lahore today

LAHORE (92 News) – Azadi March led by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman will leave for Lahore after an overnight stay in Multan today (Tuesday). The caravan of Azadi March will reach Lahore today and will enter in Islamabad on October 31 where he will hold a rally in H-9. The caravans from different cities joined the Azadi March caravan. The vehicles in the march passed River Sutlej without paying the toll tax. The participants also exchanged harsh words with the toll’s officials. Earlier, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that they will enter Islamabad like a storm. Addressing the participants of Azadi March on Monday, he said that the people from across the country are participating in Azadi March. “The people are on roads and the cruel government cannot run for long,” he said. The JUI-F chief said that he thanks all opposition parties for supporting March. “The rulers have complicated the Kashmir issue. They should not shed tears on Kashmir and deceive the Kashmiris,” he said. Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the PEMRA had ordered anchor to sit in the channel, which is an attack on the independence of journalism. “People from all walks of life are feeling difficulty. They have become a security risk. We have only approached the masses,” he said. He said that they will not budge from their stance. “Pakistan is in jeopardy due to the rulers,” he said. “We have come out to save democracy and the constitution.” The JUI-F chief said that they will only take rest after achieving their goal. JUI secretary general said that they will decide what to do on reaching Islamabad. Akram Durrani said that the government should not lose courage. “We will hold the meeting at the venue of our choice,” he said. Meanwhile, Azadi March has entered Punjab and it was accorded a rousing welcome at several places. Several groups joined Azadi March. The caravan coming from Balochistan has reached Dera Ghazi Khan and it will merge with March in Multan.
