Justice Mamoon Rashid Sheikh sworn in as LHC chief justice

LAHORE (92 News) – Justice Mamoon Rashid Sheikh was sworn in as Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court (LHC) at Governor’s House on Wednesday. Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar administered the oath to the new LHC chief justice. Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, PA Speaker Ch Pervaiz Elahi, Law Minister Raja Basharat, several provincial ministers, judges, IGP Punjab Shoaib Dastgir office-bearers of bar association and a large number of lawyers also attended the oath-taking ceremony. After the oath-taking ceremony, LHC Chief Justice Mamoon Rashid was accorded a rousing welcome on his arrival at LHC. A smartly turned out contingent of police presented him the guard of honour. Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar congratulated the LHC CJ on assuming his office.
