ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Former chief justice of the Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Mansoor Ali Shah has on Wednesday sworn in as Supreme Court judge in Islamabad. Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Mian Saqib Nisar administered the oath during a ceremony held in Supreme Court building. The ceremony was attended by Judges, senior lawyers, attorney general of Pakistan, advocate general and others. The strength of total judges has reached 17 with the induction of Justice Mansoor Ali Shah. Earlier, Syed Mansoor Ali Shah was appointed as a judge in the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan till November 2027. The notification if his appointment was issued by Ministry of Law and Justice, while Justice Muhammad Yawar Ali will replace him as chief justice LHC. On the other hand, Justice Muhammad Yawar Ali also took oath as Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court at a ceremony in Lahore on Wednesday. Punjab Governor Muhammad Rafique Rajwana administered oath to him. Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Provincial Ministers and legal fraternity attended the ceremony.
