Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqir takes oath as Sindh Caretaker CM

KARACHI (92 News) - Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqir took the oath as the Sindh Caretaker Chief Minister on Thursday.

Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori administered the oath to the caretaker chief minister. Leaders from the Pakistan People's Party (PPP), Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) and Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA), judges and bureaucrats were also present.

Earlier talking to 92 News, Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqir said that he had been assigned a heavy responsibility in the difficult times. "We will assist the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in the conduct of the elections as per law and constitution," he added.

He said that accountability was not his agenda. "We will try our best to improve the governance in the province," he maintained.

Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqir said that would elect suitable people for the cabinet.
