K-Electric likely to increase power tariff by Rs 3.40 per unit

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – K-electric has submitted an application to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) for an increase in the prices of electricity by Rs3.40 per unit.

According to a report, the application has been submitted for the increase under the head of fuel price adjustment for the month of January.

K-Electric will conduct the hearing on application on March 31. If the application gets approved, then consumers will have to bear an extra burden of Rs 4 billion.

K-Electric has also submitted application for the second half of current fiscal year. Under the six month adjustment, it is requested to reduce 30 paisas per unit. The hearing of six month adjustment will also be conducted on March 1.
