Kamal calls upon govt servants to join roads to make Karachi clean

KARACHI (92 News) - Mustafa Kamal, who is chairman Paki Sirzameen Party and former Karachi mayor, says we all will have to work together for making Karachi clean and beautiful, calling upon all government employees to join streets for cleanliness drive. "If all state employees of Sindh government join streets things will get better in the provincial metropolis," he said while addressing a press conference early on Tuesday. Kamal's press conference followed his appointment as Director Garbage by Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar. He said he not demanding funds or charities from Karachi Mayor, adding millions of rupees monthly and billions of rupees annually are being paid under salaries to the government employees with no change in the city. "I need details of finances and number of employees so that I could improve control over employees and regulate cleanliness drive." Kamal said the matters of District South and District East, both are considered hubs of MQM, have been placed under the administrative control of the Sindh government by Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar. He said he would go to the city council, but he has to do to a lot of work before submitting his report to the mayor, adding he will act as a non-political player in the task.
