KARACHI (92 News) - Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon has held Karachi Electric and the federal government responsible for the 1,130 deaths in Karachi. Speaking to mediamen on Sunday after inquiring about health of patients at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, Memon said that most of the sick are of older age. "K-Electric is earning billions of rupees but it doesn’t spend even a single rupee over improvement of system", he alleged. "As many as 1,200 people died in last nine days due to heatwave and load shedding." A deadly heatwave in Karachi has killed 1,130 persons due to heat-strokes in the financial capital of the country.
