Karachi: Javed Nagori injured in grenade attack, Akbar Nagori killed

KARACHI (92 news) – Sindh Assembly member and Pakistan Peoples’ Party’s (PPP) leader Javed Nagori was injured while his brother Akbar Nagori was killed in a grenade attack in Nayabad area of Layari on Saturday.

As per reports, Javed Nahori was sitting at a gathering in Layari when unknown assailants lobbed at a grenade at them. As a result, Nagori’s brother Akbar lost his life while Javed and five others were critically injured.

Police DIG South in a statement said that the attack may have been a response to the ongoing operation in Layari. “SI Saleem and two other police officers were injured in the attack,” he said.

The injured were shifted to the Civil Hospital.
