Karachi police release all Fixit workers on securing personal guarantees

KARACHI (92 News) - Police in Karachi released all Fixit workers on receiving personal guarantees on late Sunday following the release of their owner Alamgir Khan who is also PTI MNA. They all were taken into custody for allegedly throwing garbage and sewerage water in front of the office of the provincial minister for local government on Sunday. Police had released second time the Fixit founder shortly after his second time arrest in Karachi yesterday. Hours after release, the police on Sunday arrested Alamgir Kha second time for violating  Section-144. Mr Khan vowed to get a case registered against the local bodies minister and record protest outside the Chief Minister's House. The police personnel thrashed Alimgir Khan when he was arrested from protesting venue after his release he again staged a protest outside police station along with his workers. The police have arrested PTI MNA again and registered a first information report (FIR) against Alamgir Khan at Ferrier police station Karachi. He was also shifted to the Ferrier police station. The PTI MNA announced to register FIR against Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani ahead of his arrest. He vowed to stage protest outside Sind Chief Minister’s House. He said that the PPP is promoting the politics of violence. Earlier, police released FixIt founder and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) member of the National Assembly (MNA) Alamgir Khan released shortly after he was detained by police in Karachi. According to the details garnered, police detained the PTI’s MNA alongside at least three others following a clash between FixIt volunteers and PPP workers in Karachi. Clash erupted between FIxIt workers and PPP ‘Jiyalas’ outside the outside Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani’s office at Teen Talwar Clifton area of Karachi on Sunday evening. According to the reports, a protest was called by the Fixit workers outside local government office. PPP workers gathered ahead of time and both groups clashed when they were raising slogans one another. The protesting place was become war zone and the workers used sticks. The police had to intervene in the fight. At least five persons including DSP and sub-inspector were also injured. Meanwhile, the police have controlled the situation and multiple arrests have been made.
