Karachi water supply cut off after power outage at Dhabeji pumping station

KARACHI (92 News) – Water supply to several areas of Karachi has been cut off after power outage at the Dhabeji pumping station on Saturday. The power of the Dhabeji pumping station was disconnected due to fire at the K electric grid station. The water board spokesperson said that more than 100 million gallons of water was not supplied to the city because of the power outage at the station. It will take them at least 75 to 90 hours to get the water pumps working at normal capacity. According to the spokesperson, due to lack of water, the whole city of Karachi will be affected. Spokesperson Waterboard appealed citizens to use water efficiently and not to waste it.
