Karachi’s infrastructure to be rebuilt, says Sindh minister
KARACHI (92 News) - Sindh Minister for Local Body Nasir Hussain Shah said on Monday that government will rebuild the Karachi’s infrastructure after destructive rain of monsoon in the city.
In a statement, the minister said that the provincial government will make up for the losses caused by the heavy rains in the metropolis. "The government stands with flood-affected people of Sindh and will not leave them alone in this difficult times,” he added.
Meanwhile, Murtaza Wahab said that the citizens are facing different parts in DHA for drainage system.
On the other hand, the Pakistan Army and Pakistan Navy are continuing the relief and rescue efforts in flood-hit areas of Karachi.
According to the ISPR on Modnay, Pakistan Army engineers cleared Karachi Port Trust, Civic Centre, Mohsin Bhopali and Golimar underpass for traffic, while work on Gizri underpass is in progress.
Besides, dewatering at multiple locations is continuing to ensure availability of civic facilities in the flood hit areas of the metropolis. Army mobile recovery vehicles have been deployed at various points to shift vehicles stuck in flood to ensure flow of traffic.
