Karbala teaches to stand against falsehood: Firdous

SIALKOT (92 News) – Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan has said the tragedy of Karbala teaches us to stand steadfastly against falsehood and oppression. Addressing Shuhada-e-Karbala Conference in Sialkot on Tuesday, the special assistant said the followers of Islam and Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) challenged oppression, believing that the final victory will be of righteousness. Firdous Ashiq Awan said the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK) are also facing a Karbala-like situation and they have been boldly facing the Indian atrocities and state terrorism. The special assistant said India has deprived the Kashmiris of their religious right in addition to other basic rights, disallowing them to observe Youm-e-Ashur. Firdous Ashiq Awan expressed solidarity with Kashmiri brethren and said Pakistan would be standing by them until they secure freedom from the Indian brutalities. She further said Prime Minister Imran Khan, as ambassador of Kashmiris, will raise voice for them at every forum. Earlier in the day, Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the historic day of 10th Muharram reminds the great sacrifices of Karbala martyrs. In a series of tweets on Tuesday, the special assistant said, “On this historic day, Hazrat Imam Hussain (Razi Allah ho Ta’ala Anho) stood against falsehood for the sake of religion. He did not compromise on the bright and golden principles of Islam.” She also has said that has said Youm-e-Ashur gives the great message of standing by the oppressed and not refraining from any sacrifice for righteousness. Firdous Ashiq Awan said that once a day when the grandson of Hazrat Muhammad’s (SAW) Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) stood rendered sacrifice for the sake of religion. “Today Karbala like situation is prevailing in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK). it is the 39th day of curfew in the held valley which has been turned into a prison,” she added.
