Karzai declares Pakistan responsible for tension at Torkham border

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Former Afghan president Hamid Karzai has on Friday while declaring Pakistan responsible for recent tension at the Torkham border said that Afghanistan never accepted Durand Line. In an interview with the British Broadcasting Network on Friday, he said that Pakistan has never spared any opportunity of hostility against Afghanistan. Karzai said that Afghanistan is a sovereign country and is not taking dictation from any other country, adding that Pakistan has taken some steps on Durand Line which are angering Afghans. The former president said that India is helping Afghanistan build its infrastructure and health facilities and has filled Afghanistan with money. “India wants to be a true friend of Afghanistan,” he added.
