Kashmir Core Group mulls steps for people's right to self-determination in IOK

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan presided over a meeting of the Kashmir Core Group on Thursday. The forum deliberated on the political, diplomatic and legal steps for Kashmiris’ right to self-determination in Indian-Occupied Kashmir. The meeting reiterated the resolve to express solidarity with the besieged people of Occupied Kashmir. The main focus was on Pakistan’s extensive political and diplomatic outreach and efforts to raise the international community’s awareness about the dire human rights and humanitarian situation in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the serious risks for peace and security posed by India’s illegal and unilateral actions of August 5, 2019. The meeting was attended by the foreign minister, minister for law and justice, chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir, special assistant to prime minister on information and broadcasting, attorney general of Pakistan and other senior officials.
Curfew, communication blockade enters 18th day in IOK
Curfew and communication blockade continued at 18th day in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK) from August 5 when Narendra Modi government announced scraping of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. According to the details garnered, Hurriyat Leaders announced strike march tomorrow (On Friday) in IoK. Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred a Kashmiri youth in Baramulla town. The youth was killed during an All Out operation jointly launched by Indian Army’s Rashtriya Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force and Special Operation Group in Kakarhamam area of the town. The operation, launched on Tuesday evening, was going on till last reports came in.
