ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal has said that Kashmir issue has become a grave threat to the peace of the entire world. The FO spokesperson stated while briefing the Senate Standing Committee on Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan in Islamabad. He said that the government is evaluating the possibilities of raising the annexation of Kashmir by India at all possible international forums to expose New Delhi’s nefarious designs. Dr Faisal said Kashmir issue has become a grave threat to the peace of the entire world. He said Pakistan is fully alert. He further said the world is being sensitized over the situation. The FO spokesperson said the international community is being engaged at all levels and Parliament, foreign missions are playing pro-active role to expose Indian aggression. Earlier, PM Imran Khan said that he would no longer seek dialogue with Indian officials and raising the threat of a military escalation between the nuclear-armed neighbors. In an interview with New York Times at the PM’s office in Islamabad, the prime minister said, “There is no point in talking to them. I mean, I have done all the talking. Unfortunately, now when I look back, all the overtures that I was making for peace and dialogue, I think they took it for appeasement.” “There is nothing more that we can do,” Imran Khan said. He has repeatedly condemned India’s Hindu nationalist government for terminating the autonomy of the India-held Jammu Kashmir (IHK) in an abrupt move more than two weeks ago. India deployed thousands of troops to quell any possible unrest and severed nearly all communications in the poor Himalayan region, the flash point for two wars between Pakistan and India. The premier demanded that the UN peacekeepers and observers be allowed in IoK where India intends to carry out genocide of Muslim population. He said the lives of eight million people are at risk in the occupied valley. “We are all worried that there is ethnic cleansing and genocide about to happen,” he added.
