Kashmir shuts against civilian killings

SRINAGAR (92 News) – A complete shutdown is being observed across Kashmir valley today (Monday) to protest the killing of two civilians in firing by the Indian police and army in Pulwama district yesterday.

Call for the strike was given by the Chairman All Parties Hurriyet Conference-Gilani Syed Ali Gilani and other Hurriyet leaders Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.

Curfew has been imposed in several areas of Srinagar in the wake of a strike call by separatist groups in protest against the killing of two civilians in firing by security forces yesterday. Train service has also been suspended as the Railways fear trouble.

Hurriyet leaders criticized the international community and world human rights organizations for maintaining criminal silence over Indian atrocities in held territory.

The Chairman All Parties Hurriyet Conference-G Syed Ali Gilani in a statement in Srinagar said this is the worst kind of Indian state terrorism in Kashmir.
