Kashmir Solidarity Day observed across country

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Kashmir Solidarity Day was observed today (Friday) to express solidarity and whole-hearted support of the Pakistani nation to the just struggle of Kashmiri people for their inalienable right of self-determination under UN resolutions. On this occasion, mass rallies, symposia, walks for peace, conventions and meetings were held across the country in order to draw world attention towards the plight of oppressed Kashmiri people. Public rallies were organized across Pakistan to express solidarity with Kashmiris and share feelings with the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK) under the theme “Justice for People of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.” In addition, “Human Chains” were  formed in federal, provincial capitals, including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan in solidarity with the people of Kashmir, who are under siege for about two months. Protest rallies and demonstrations condemned gross violations of basic human rights and excesses being committed by Indian troops in the occupied valley. Special cultural programs and festivals were held to promote Kashmiri culture and tradition while photographic exhibitions will be arranged depicting the atrocities committed by Indian occupation forces against the Kashmiris.
