ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Key suspect Mian Tariq, who made video of Judge Arshad Malik, was remanded into Cybercrime wing of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for three days in alleged video case. Mian Tariq was presented in the court of Civil Judge Shaista Khan Kundi. During the hearing, Tariq’s lawyer complained for not providing the FIR copy, to reply judge remarked that take an FIR now and read it. The FIA investigation officer informed the court that they found date from USB and the forensic report of video proved positive. He also said that the accused have also confessed the help of other accomplices for making video. “Like big leaders, we also want medical facilities,” argued his lawyer. However, the judge said that according to the medical report, he hasn’t been tortured. The defence lawyer argued that Mian Tariq was arrested on July 10 and his son is missing from July 12. Shaista Kundi said that the appropriate forum should be used if anyone is missing. The civil judge stopped the FIA for any torture on the accused and ordered to present again on Monday. Earlier, the FIA cybercrime wing has lodged an FIR against arrested main suspect Mian Tariq, others in Judge Arshad Malik’s video scandal. Civil judge Shahista Khan Kundi handed main suspect Tariq Mehmood – who made video of Accountability Court judge Arshad Malik – over to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on two day physical remand. According to the reports, the FIA arrested main suspect of video scandal. The FIA sources informed that Mian Tariq was caught by the authority’s cybercrime wing. The video was traced from Mian Tariq’s house and forensics of the controversial video was already carried out. Suspect Mian Tariq was trying to flee to Dubai but the FIA caught him. On July 12, the Law Ministry has stopped Judge Arshad Malik from working on the orders of the Lahore High Court. the IHC acting chief justice sent a letter to Law Ministry for taking back the services of Arshad Malik as accountability court judge. Judge Arshad Malik wrote a letter to the IHC, in which, he rejected all the accusations leveled against him in the alleged video. The respectable judge also submitted his reply, affidavit, press release and other documents. The IHC spokesman said that the chief justice is reviewing the letter for further actions.
