Kh Asif asks consumers to use less electricity to avoid increased tariffs
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif has asked the consumers to use less electricity to avoid exorbitant bills under increased tariffs.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Thursday, Khawaja Asif said load-shedding schedule had been made for Ramazan.
He said there will be no load-shedding one hour before and after Sehr and Iftar.
Khawaja Asif said the power plants produced 16,000 megawatts of electricity in the 24 hours, but there was a shortfall of 3,600 megawatts.
The minister said industrial consumers have been exempted from the load-shedding.
“The consumers can also register their complaints through Online Complaint System that had been installed at the Ministry of Water and Power,” the minister said.
