ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has dismissed a letter by the NCOC calling for two months delay in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections due to the coronavirus.

Talking to the journalists, the former premier said, "The corruption cases against government officials worth of hundreds of billions are not visible to the NAB. The corruption watchdog body has caused incredible damage to the country."

Khaqan Abbasi further said that there was an attempt of rigging by delaying the Azad Kashmir elections. "The opponents should keep in mind that there is no difference in the PML-N. Shehbaz Sharif is the president, he will make the decisions but the final decision will be depended on Nawaz Sharif," he added.

"What has NCOC got to do with [the] elections?" Abbasi asked, saying that this is a conspiracy for rigging. The same thing that happened in Gilgit-Baltistan is being repeated in Azad Kashmir," he said. He said a rigging attempt was being made.
