Khatm-e-Nabuwat case: IHC orders to make Raja Zafarul Haq report public

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday has ordered to make public the Raja Zafarul Haq's report in a case pertaining to changes made in Khatm-e-Nabuwat clause. IHC Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui announced the detailed verdict the case pertaining to the omission of Khatm-e-Nabuwwat clause from the Election Act, 2017 regarding the Finality of Prophethood. In his detailed verdict of 172 pages, Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui has ordered to make Raja Zafarul Haq report public. The verdict mentioned that no importance has been given regarding the matters of Khatm-e-Nabuwat by the majority members of the parliament. According to the verdict, Islam and the constitution of Pakistan protect all the basic rights including religious independence of the minorities. "Every citizens of Pakistani must submit his right identity with affidavit. Unluckily no necessary law cannot be make according to this prominent standard, resulting, non-Muslims minority hide their real identity and cheated the state showing their identity as Muslims. The detailed verdict says that it is very tragic as per the statement of establishment division shows that no identity of civil officer, which come through civil services, has been shown according to this context. It added that this is against the constitutions of Pakistan. The verdict mentioned that the parliament should take important steps for the protection of Khatm-e-Nabuwat. The verdict directed that an oath concerning the identity of Muslims and non-Muslims must be taken for the provision of national identity cards, birth certificates, electoral lists and passports. The verdict also stated that the large amount of people who are hidden their identity in census and NADRA data. In detail verdict directed that the NADRA and the census department should investigate the main difference of information regarding Qadianis. It further directed that Islamiat subject must obligatory only for the Muslims in educational institutions. The outgoing federal government on February 20 had submitted the report of committee headed by Senator Raja Zafarul Haq regarding the controversy pertaining to omission of the Khatm-e-Nabuwwat oath clause from the Election Act, 2017 in the Islamabad High Court (IHC). The report was submitted by Deputy Attorney General Arshad Kiani before Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui, who heard the case regarding sit-in of religious parties at Faizabad Interchange to protest the omission of the Khatm-e-Nabuwwat oath clause. Earlier, the court announced it short verdict in the case on March 09. In its short verdict, the IHC judge Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui stated that the parliament should take concrete steps to ensure protection of Khatm-e-Nabuwwat faith. Khatm-e-Nabuwwat is the base of our religion and it is the duty of every Muslim to protect this belief, the court added. The court stated that an oath concerning the identity of Muslims and non-Muslims must be taken for the provision of national identity cards, birth certificates, electoral lists and passports. The court also ordered all applicants for public offices declare their beliefs on oath to be eligible.
