Khawaja Asif calls Khurshid Shah “Rangbaaz”

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has on Friday called Opposition leader in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah “Rangbaaz”.

During his address in the assembly on Friday, Khawaja Asif opened another Pandora box in the parliament.

National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that leader of the opposition is a respectable person and calling him “Ranbaaz” is not an appropriate word to which Khawaja Asif said that “Rangbaazi” is an innocent word, adding that he would call them “Rangbaaz”.

Commenting on Nehal Hashmi’s statement, his statement is condemnable and the party has taken appropriate action against his move.

He said his party membership has been cancelled and he has resigned from the seat of Senate. “This shows party’s commitment to respecting institutions,” he added.

He said it is collective responsibility of both the government and opposition to work for strengthening the state institutions under the constitutional mandate available to us.
