February 6, 2020
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – PML-N leader Khawaja Asif has demanded a parliamentary committee on price-hike. Speaking in the National Assembly on Thursday, he questioned who was earning billions of rupees under the umbrella of the government. “No one can question those responsible for price-hike.” Former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf asked the government to apprehend the mafia. “The government should form a parliamentary committee if it cannot arrest the mafia. We will drag it to the parliament within seven days,” he said. Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan offered himself for accountability. “PM Imran Khan has not to set up a mill. We are ready to form a parliamentary committee,” he said. Speaker Asad Qaisar did not allow Agha Rafiullah to speak and reprimanded him when he insisted on his demand. He also announced a discussion on price-hike on Tuesday. Agha Rafiullah pointed out lack of quorum when Federal Minister for Communications Murad Saeed stood for a speech. At  this, Speaker Asad Qaisar adjourned the session.
